Don't Talk to Robots
There are no automated telephone switchboards in our company. We believe that best person to direct your inquiry to is a human.
Each of our customers is an individual and you deserve to be treated as an individual. This is our view if you are a reader purchasing a single title for your own bookshelf or a warehouse buyer purchasing thousands of units. As a new customer you will be assigned a Customer Manager; this member of our staff will take the sole responsibility to ensure that your order is processed to your exact personal requirements.
Don't waste your Time
Why should you be transferred around different departments? Our Customer Managers have access to all systems within our operation and can respond to enquires as diverse as stock levels, accounts and order tracking. In the unlikely event that we cannot answer your question immediately we'll telephone you back at a time convenient to you.
Don't change a good thing
Only ten members of staff have left Douglas Barry Publications (excluding those who have retired) since we commenced trading 25 years ago. With this level of continuity the same person is almost certainly going to be here when you are ready to place your next order.
Don't stop growing
Supplying good quality products to satisfied customers has resulted in a 900% growth in our business over the last ten years. Who says you cannot grow by dealing with individuals?
We do use Modern Technology with Old Fashioned Service
We view modern technology as a tool to be used for the benefit of our customers. In our experience it does not matter to our customers what type of software we use or how many metres of warehousing we have. What matters to our customers is that their order is logged, processed and despatched in one smooth operation.
